Leonard serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Rowan University. His team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the university-wide information security and risk management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

Prior to joining Rowan University, he served as the University Privacy Officer at Temple University and assisted with managing the Information Security team. He has also led projects for organizations such as Chambishi Metals, D2 Media and Unisys. Additionally, he has spent several years as an adjunct professor for the Management Information Systems department at the Fox School of Business.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Messiah College and Master’s degree in Information Systems from Temple University. He holds the CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) and GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership) certifications, and is a member of the ISACA, International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Higher Education Chief Privacy Officers organization.
