In order to enhance and increase its online course offerings, NCA&T State University has begun an aggressive program to train faculty how to teach online, and how to develop online courses. When faculty are asked to teach or develop an online course, some enter the arena with little or no online experience. This presentation describes how learning to teach online and how to develop an online course mutually complement each other, no matter the order in which they occur. A hybrid online teaching course and a course development template will be featured and discussed.
