Can you 3D Print me an A on my paper? Implementing a 3D Printing Program

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How do you start a 3D Printing program in your IT Department, and how can you market this to your campus? A year ago we received funding to create a makerspace at our university that we call the 3DU. In the 3DU, students, faculty, and staff have access to four different 3D Printers as well as specialized computers and software to allow them to design and create a variety of items. We would like to share what we have learned about what it takes to get a 3D Printing program up and running, as well as some creative ways to market the technology to departments and students on campus. Participants will also be invited to check out a few of our 3D Printers and printed materials, as well as gain access to some free online resources to help the beginner or the expert enjoy 3D Printing. This technology has an amazing variety of applications, and it can enhance instruction and everyday life on your campus!
