Provisioning of new physical server hardware can be time consuming, often complex work.  Orchestration of the associated tasks can streamline the process and also help ensure consistency from build to build.  Come see how ECU’s IT Infrastructure teams leverage multiple Cisco workflow orchestration technologies and the numerous benefits of each.

In this presentation, an action-packed video walkthrough of an orchestrated bare-metal new server build will actively demonstrate the technologies used to accomplish these missions. You will witness UCS Director being utilized for SAN zoning, provisioning of storage groups and LUNs on the storage arrays and masking the new initiators to those LUNs.  Once new servers are placed in service, watch UCS Central provide easy mobility of service profiles between datacenters to provide for seamless Disaster Recovery and scheduled maintenance flexibility.  Finally, we will discuss the recent integration of Performance Manager to monitor system health and provide end-to-end troubleshooting of issues when they arise.
